The artwork is bordered with a white passepartout, giving the image a stronger effect. The frame is a high quality black wooden picture frame that has shatter-proof acrylic glass, which is lighter and more durable than real glass, but has the same reflective properties.

A GICLÉE Print is now associated with the highest quality inkjet printing technique. True Giclée prints are produced with a very high resolution (1200dpi minimal to 2400 dpi) and are printed with precious archival inks on acid-free materials. The canvas and papers have been provided with a layer (coating), which ensures that the inks will not degrade.

At first, I paint an abstract composition then I digitise it and import it into a computer. I continue the work, already in this form, and I also include my following painting. My favourite subject is the female face, which I outline and highlight from its surroundings and then I mix it with different shapes and motifs. By combining the two paintings I create a third, completely new work.

My subject is the female face, which I like to draw, paint and combine with the digital possibilities of the modern age.

The artwork was inspired by one of my favourite paintings. By avoiding colour, I created a pleasant grey mood, from which the beautiful red lips stand out and bring back to life what seems to be fading.
